12 Reasons to Smile
Sometimes, people with crooked teeth or those undergoing orthodontic treatment to correct malocclusions are hesitant to show their teeth.
At Hansen Orthodontics, we think there should be more smiling in the world!
Even if your grin is less than perfect, the world can always use a little more joy. Smiling releases endorphins in your system, reduces stress, and even strengthens your immune system.
You don’t actually need a reason to smile, but if you’re not quite feeling like cracking a grin right now, here are a dozen great reasons to smile today.
12 Reasons to Smile Today
1: Because puppies exist.
2: Because honeybee numbers are increasing. Bee populations have been declining for years, and in 2017, colony numbers are up 27%.
3: Because love has no age limits. A candid snap of an elderly gentleman feeding his wife ice cream on a hot day has inspired generations of romantics.
4: Because smiles are contagious.
5: Because this family coming together is a beautiful moment. At this marine’s wedding, his new wife read vows to his 4-year-old son, her new stepson, and it moved the boy to tears.
6: Because age is just a number. This 92 year old woman who can’t walk on land without her cane broke local athletic records at a swim meet.
7: Because of this silly joke:
I had a neck brace fitted years ago and I’ve never looked back since.
8: Because of tea parties with toddlers…and police officers. A police officer who delivered a baby in a gas station parking lot celebrated the child’s first birthday with the most adorable tea party ever.
9: Because of days at the beach.
10: Because one time Poland gave the United States a birthday card with millions of signatures. On the 150th anniversary of American independence, Poland sent The Polish Declarations of Admiration and Friendship – 111 volumes of well wishes, including about 5,500,000 signatures from Polish citizens.
11: Because sometimes, it’s okay to eat dessert first.
12: Because love can overcome anything. This grandson’s video is the real life version of the ending of the movie 50 First Dates.
